old and new Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur a changing city every day. A simple sketch around Jln TAR a busy shopping street. An old colonial building still standing surrounded by a office block and hotels.

old grocery store.

In my country as any modern, developed country the hypermall is everywhere. The old grocery family owned store is not attractive anymore. This is the last store still standing in my village where I used to repair my bicycle 30 years ago.. I dont think it will still be standing there next year... damn TESCO, carrefour...

bob dylan

I was browsing on the art book and stumble on a painting book by bob Dylan. Hard cover and quite expensive. At home i saw bob again in a magazine doing some wrist watch commercial and I decided to sketch him. No bad as a singer writer painter and modelling..

national art gallery Kuala Lumpur

Nothing to do and the H1N1 virus seems to be everywhere and my youngest son was bored but instead of going to the shopping mall I decided to bring them to the national art gallery. The only building in Malaysia which is always quiet year round. The cafeteria serves nice food and I do like the traditional Malay pancakes (lempeng) from flour and coconut.

home

back home and my garden need some TLC. Its good to have a green finger neighbour making my garden more green and ecofriendly, sometimes he gives us some to taste the sweet banana if the squirrel doesn't get it first.
